The Africa Raw Materials Summit is an event conceived with the aim of bringing researchers, industrialists, policy makers, investors, government agencies and other relevant stakeholders in the raw materials sector from Africa together, to share ideas, build partnerships as well as chart a course on ways African nations can add value to their raw materials for industrial development and sustainable economic growth.
The summit is to be organized by the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), a government agency under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST) Nigeria, vested with the mandate to promote the development and optimal utilization of Nigeria's raw materials for sustainable industrial growth, in collaboration with the African Raw Materials Network LTD (ARMNL).
With the theme “From Extraction to Innovation: Transforming Africa's Raw Materials Sector”, the event is designed to catalyze sustainable development of Africa's vast raw materials resources, which would help shape the future of the industries and promote sustainable economic growth.
